Cargill’s Big Lake protein plant opened in 2001, advantageously located off Highway 10 and close to the I-94 corridor. From transitioning into an egg processing plant in 2005 to adding additional processing capability in 2017, the plant has significantly multiplied its workforce and nearly doubled in physical size. This significant investment in the facility shows the community and employees how much Cargill believes in the plant, its employees, and the growth opportunity in Sherburne County.
